As the founder of Advanced Physical Therapy of NY and a PT for over 20 years, I have a unique understanding and empathy for my clients because of my personal journey with this illness. At age 11, I was diagnosed with Legg-Calve-Perthes disease, a condition where blood supply is interrupted to the ball part (femoral head) of the hip joint. After many stressful visits to an array of specialists, I underwent surgery (femoral osteotomy) to correct the deformity, followed by intensive physical therapy. Many years later, the early onset of osteoarthritis created chronic pain and dysfunction. I managed through my own treatments and knowledge of physical therapy up until January 21, 2016. On this date, at the age of 37, I had a total hip replacement. Again through physical therapy, I was able to return to work and live an active lifestyle. My personal journey not only made me a better therapist, it helps me to fully commiserate and connect with each and every client I treat. I'm so excited to join as the newest therapist at Advanced Physical Therapy of NY! I am an occupational therapist and alumna of Yeshiva University’s OT clinical doctorate program. Hailing from Boca Raton, Florida, I moved to NYC in September 2021 to begin graduate school and pursue my passion of becoming an OT. Since then, I have developed an interest in treating conditions involving the hand and upper extremities, as well as a focus on proper body mechanics, adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and environmental and home modifications to optimize desired outcomes and maximize overall independence for my clients. My goals include working toward certification in hand therapy and opening my own practice in the future. Feel free to reach out to me personally and in confidence at brynna@advancedptny.com.

I grew up in Odessa, Ukraine and later moved to Brooklyn, New York in 1978 where I went to school at Baruch college studying computer programming. When I emigrated to the United States permanently, starting over came with many challenges, but I carried with me the same dedication and strong work ethic I had developed over the years. I eventually met my husband, who was in pharmacy school at the time, and together, we built a life and later owned and operated a pharmacy and two podiatry offices, which allowed me to stay connected to helping people in a meaningful way.
I first joined this office as the Front Desk Manager, learning every detail of how the clinic operates and supporting clients from the moment they arrived. Over time, I transitioned into my current role as a Rehab Assistant, where I can be more hands-on and directly involved in each client’s progress. This role has been fulfilling and feels like a natural extension of my desire to help others.
Outside the clinic, I love to cook, especially the dishes that bring back memories of home. But most of all, I cherish every moment spent with my children—they are my greatest joy and motivation.
I’m grateful for the journey that led me here and for the opportunity to grow and be part of this wonderful Advanced PT of NY family.

I was originally born in Uzbekistan and immigrated to the USA with my family in 1991. Later in 2007, I received my bachelors degree in economics with a minor in business management from the College of Staten Island. I am very family oriented and love spending time with my family who mean everything to me, especially my niece and nephew. In my free time, I like to go to saunas whenever possible and catch up on episodes from The History Channel. Coming up on the three-month mark since I began working at Advanced PT of NY, I’m thankful for the opportunity to take on the role of Front Desk Manager, learn all the ins and outs of the office, and hopefully work my way up to earning the title and responsibilities of Office Manager in the future.
